Ruben Pang’s new works draw inspiration from a variety of sources including folklore, paganism and Taoism. Pre-Heaven reflects on the difficulty of expressing an inner vision and various opposing forces to exercise individual will. The title alludes to the sweet spot before each oscillation of alleviation and dissatisfaction of each encounter with oneself.
