The seventh Happiness Private Limited show continues its journey off the beaten track. RE ORIENT, a solo painting show by William Sim and a selection of sculptures in collaboration with
Lush Tan, renders an offbeat vision of SG at 50. Neither a retrospective nor a prospective presentation but rather a physical realization of a mental scrapbook of cumulative images.

This cross-hatching of collective urban imagery and cultural heirlooms takes on a shade of trademark surrealism with its flying vessels, gravity-defying architecture and precarious ledges. Plans and schemes, hopes and fears eventuated in a visual format.

A reworking of reality and fantasy, from the mundane to the extraordinary, things are sometimes not what they seem. Peek closely and reorient yourself to a world slightly askew.
