When the Portuguese government wants to capture the South American natives for slave labour, a Jesuit priest try to protect the tribe against the danger of falling under the rule of pro-slavery Portugal. Incredibly moving and uplifting, The Mission (1986) is an award-winning classic that has greatly impacted the practice of our exhibiting artist, Manuel Ocampo.
