In a world that is increasingly dominated by digital and visual stimuli, humans have become disconnected from the individual sensory experiences that shape our perception of the world. To address this issue, the youths from 10 Square Youth collaborate to explore visual art and theatre works, highlighting the importance of connections with their senses, and in turn, they invite the audience to learn alongside them. Through performance art, this project seeks to engage youths in a process of discovery, by challenging them to create works that reflect on their individual sensory experiences and the ways in which these contribute to our overall perception of the world. Throughout a 20-week learning process, students ideate, collaborate, create, and showcase their artworks.
