REFLECTIONS 2015 is Republic Polytechnic’s Annual Community Arts Festival, bridging the community through the arts. In its 9th year, the three-week long festival takes on the theme ‘Our Stories’, where we narrate our past, present and future in different interpretations.
A collaborative effort of Singaporean artists and our students, REFLECTIONS 2015 is a multi-genre representation showcasing music, dance, theatre, visual arts, and exhibitions.
This year, the highlights of the festival include MUSIC, FUN & FRIENDS, a concert featuring Singapore’s very own MICappella; World Drum Night III – ConstellAsians, a theatrical exploration of percussion music where we’ll look at the connection between people and the stars; the cultural immersion of ETHNIKBEATS featuring Gamelan Asmaradana as they dazzle us with Balinese, Sudanese and Javanese musical sets; and we’ll be chilling with the band Caracal at Kopi Sessions as they play acoustic music for all to enjoy.
Happening from 17 October to 7 November this year, with the various performances, workshops and exhibitions; Reflections 2015 has something special for everyone.
