Reflections Community Arts Festival 2017

Republic Polytechnic’s arts festival “Reflections” will be taking place from 21 Oct – 5 Nov. Celebrating its 10th year with the theme “Layers” where the arts can be complex or very straight forward, each performance can be appreciated at different levels and often resonate differently with each of us.

The festival presents a wide array of performance genres, dance, drama, music, visual arts, variety shows and exhibitions to showcase the depth and range of our different groups.

Key festival highlights include the Opening Launch; which features a myriad of performances and buskers all around campus, An Evening Of Music, Fun & Friends; featuring local band Shili & Adi, Alumni Ao Cheng Su, Khim Ng as well as our very own RP musicians, Storytelling with Roger Jenkins; featuring award-winning storyteller Roger Jenkins; MUSE VIII; our annual dance extravaganza featuring RP’s Dance Groups and Symphonie De Republique by RP’s Wind Symphony who clinched the Silver Award for the recent Singapore International Band Festival 2016.

In addition, there will also be several fringe performances at the various venues at RP by our very own student performers from interest groups such as Jammerz Arena, Pentas Karyawan, Replug, Beats Encore and many more!

For those who are looking for something more informative, there will be a series of workshops/workouts ranging from dance to visual arts as well as talks by industry veterans such as NAC who will be giving us tips on festival producing.
