The “Reunion, Crossing Paths” exhibition is an accumulation of artworks by Singaporean Artist Mr Tan Chye Thiam. This collection of Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Ink Paintings, and Wood Carvings reflects his journey in practising Chinese Art over the past two decades. The Squirrel《松鼠》 ink painting depicts the relationships fostered with his colleagues in the sector and the paths that fellow artists, including his students, went on to create in their lives. Some of the artworks that were previously on display elsewhere have been brought in specially for this exhibition. Of notable mentions are the art pieces of Gratitude《感恩》and Hope《希望》 which are on display at Yong-en Active Hub and 365 Cancer Prevention Society- Ang Mo Kio Social Service Centre. Through these two artworks, Mr Tan wishes to remind all to uphold a sense of gratitude and hope in living our lives to the fullest, regardless of our life stages.
