Wherever we live, we nurture our livelihood and fulfill our need for sustenance. We are the things we grow, the things we build; we are what we share and what we look after. By all extensions to the natural world and the environment in which we live, we create vital images of roots and riches. In this selection of artworks from Singapore and the region, there is a plethora and bounty that bring pleasure, and yet incite curiosity. The exhibition invites us to reflect on these reserves, of life and of things; that through them we renew our spirits to resist the banal or mundane, in contemporary existence.
