Born in Denpasar, Bali in 1963, S Dana’s landscape paintings are broad, sweeping and depicts the annual Balinese cycle of sowing, harvest and the rites of celebration. He rarely uses a paint brush but has developed a unique style of Pointillism creating impressionistic landscapes with his fingers, stick or palette knife.
Dana attended the fine arts college in Denpasar for 4 years and also received further artistic training in Venice and Switzerland. He has held exhibitions in Europe and Indonesia and his works are in private collections in Singapore and the S.E. Asian region.
