Our scene study class conducted by Warren Baumgart!
ACTORS
For actors, this workshop delivers a thoughtful and rigorous curriculum aimed at creating authentic, compelling characters. Over the course of 8 weeks, participants can expect to hone their creativity and awareness of self as they explore their strengths and weaknesses as performers. Participants will be assigned scenes that match and challenge their types, allowing them to further their range. By working on scenes that they may never be cast in, participants are given a safe and experimental space to play, and possibly discover hidden forms of talent in the process. The workshop also serves to provide each actor a solid and reliable framework for scene analysis.
NON ACTORS
This workshop aims to foster creative expression and keen psychological awareness through acting. By working on diverse scenes, participants try their hand at playing different characters in a fictional setting. They generate insights to their characters’s profiles, develop confidence and nurture an ability to make bold but strong choices in face of pressure. They learn scene analysis skills that will be useful when dealing with multi-faceted real-life situations. Through this workshop, all participants will also gain a deeper understanding of individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as an understanding of their character range in acting.
