For SHAM Exhibition, Ludo Gallery has shifted its attention away from an aesthetic that requires little explanation.
SHAM Exhibition showcases works that demonstrate how we accept what we see as finite. SHAM is an exhibition of objects that have been reinterpretated and used as a bucket of icy water that says “wake up” or “walk away”.
The four artist’s profound experience and education have not diminished their passion and ability to continue taking risks. Their chosen mediums are not discreet and their irreverence may cost them some viewers but through SHAM they continue to show how our lives can be wasted if we allow layers of unnecessary discussion and objects distract us.
Participating artists: Shin-young Park, Urich Lau, Miguel Chew, Ezzam Rahman
“To me, the most fascinating aspect of Singapore is its multi-cultural and eclectic society: diverse but not divided, busy yet orderly, where the best of both Eastern and Western worlds coexist…”
