With Singapore Art Week fast approaching, Asian Art Platform will feature the works of emerging artist Shi Yanliang (时砚亮) between the 11th – 22nd January. Born in Shandong in 1981, Shi graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2008 and currently lives and works in Beijing.
The artist is most famous for his straightforward, flat and vibrant paintings. The paintings of Shi Yanliang tell stories, he uses intensive colours and clean precise lines to depict overwhelming and deep emotions.
