The Singapore Cultural Experience will showcase a wide range of activities and exhibits which are significant to the Peranakan culture, a distinctive part of Singapore’s heritage which should be preserved.
From 11 – 19 July, the showcase promises to immerse participants in all things Peranakan, from the Peranakan culture and fashion to its heritage and cuisine. The exhibition promises to immerse participants in all things Peranakan, though a showcase of antique Peranakan furniture, kueh-making demonstrations, as well as the chance to don a traditional Peranakan outfit for photo-taking.
The Singapore Cultural Experience is part of ION Orchard Culinary Creations 2017, an annual celebration of food and culture, and will be displayed at the ION Art gallery from 11 – 19 July 2017.
