Singapore Street Festival (SSF) returns to celebrate its 14th year with a theme centered on ‘Youth Diversity’. In the spirit of this year’s theme, the festival aims to celebrate the rapid changes in our world’s demographics and provides platforms that include the bringing together of people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life.
SSF 2015 collaborates with Shine Youth Festival, organized by the National Youth Council in presenting Parkour, Freestyle & Panna Urban Street Football and Kendama. This year, SSF will see Yes, Yes, Y’all! This is Singapore Street Festival, a rap showcase aimed at attaining exposure for the underground hip‐hop community and superhero‐themed Street Graffiti.
There will also be new additions to the festival this year such as the Fantabulous Magic Gala Show, which will feature the talents of award-winning magician, Jeremy Pei, Alex Tan and past winner, Tommillusion. It will also be the 10th anniversaries of Asia Global Bellydance, and Battle of the Year (BOTY), the biggest b-boying competition in the world, where the champion will go on to represent Singapore at the Battle of the Year South Asia.
Adding even more excitement to the festival, the celebrations will end with the Concert of Ideas; three spectacular evenings of musical performances starting with pianist, Bertrand Lee, followed by Singapore Idol alumnus Gayle Nerva and closing with talented drummer, TamaGoh.
Registration to all SSF 2015 competitions and workshops is open from now till the 31st of May 2015. Registrations can be done at www.singaporestreetfestival.com
