The Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) is a biennial gathering of minds from around the world with the common pursuit to advance the art and appreciation of photography. It aims to be a much needed arena for critical thought and academic discourse on photography in Southeast Asia.
The 5th SIPF Open Call is looking to discover new photographic works and curatorial projects, open to the participation of all photographers and curators, with no thematic restrictions. Shortlisted works and projects will be exhibited at the festival across Singapore. Submissions will be selected by an independent panel of art professionals and curators.
Open Call Showcase (for photographers)
In the previous edition, SIPF received 707 submissions from 70 countries. Out of these submissions, 47 selected artists from 23 countries exhibited in the Open Call Showcase 2014 across the National Museum of Singapore, DECK, and Chapel Gallery.
Curatorial Project Showcase (for curators)
The inaugural edition of the Curatorial Project Showcase seeks to provide a platform for emerging and independent curators committed to develop their professional practice in Singapore.
