In this exhibition, renowned wildlife artist Thong Chow Ngian aims to illustrate Special Moments in Nature for the viewers by capturing dramatic moments presented during typical avian behaviours like courting, feeding, preening, perching and of course, flying. He does so by creating photo-realistic art, a technique he is well-known for. He uses the semi-transparent quality of the acrylic medium to gradually build up numerous layers of paint onto the canvas that transforms the subject into a life-like image. The result is astonishing – sometimes it is hard to tell if it is a photograph or a painting.
