Bi Lateral Bonds, a group exhibition by Taksu Singapore & Taksu Kuala Lumpur explores the cultural exchange & facilitates creative collaborations & artistic discovery between Singapore & Malaysia. A timely curated show in August marks the celebration of the two Independence Days – 9^th August (Singapore) and 31^st August (Malaysia) when the two countries separated.

Deep rooted in history, the two countries of Singapore & Malaysia have a shared history of it’s people, culture, and language. Through the arts, Taksu aims to recognise and celebrate the vibrant arts scene and foster the cultural exchange between each other. The artists selected this year are a perfect example of the collaborative international exchange that Singapore & Malaysia share today.  A mix of emerging and established artists that showcase a diversity of styles within their artistic disciplines and genre.

Bilateral Bonds will show new artworks that benefit audiences on both sides of the country.

Artworks from Fauzulyusri, Miguel Chew, Najib Bamadhaj, Dzaki Safaruan, Gan Tee Sheng, Allison M. Low, Azrin Mohd, Aiman Hakim, Hisyamuddin Abdullah, and Ahmad Abu Bakar will be showing in the duration of the show from July 28th (Taksu Singapore) and 11th August (Taksu Kuala Lumpur) simultaneously until end of August 2016.

Opening reception: Singapore: Thursday, July 28th, 7:00-10.00pm

Artst Talk: TAKSU will also be having an artist’s conversation on the bonds between the two countries at the Aesop store on the 27^th of July, from 7 pm – 9 pm.
