A name familiar in the world of ceramists, Gek Lin has came up with a new series of works.
Her next chapter of works is about her current experimental approach using ash slips on greenware.
These pieces are also expressed in a small measure of her amazement of the strength in beauty of the element ‘Wind’. Some examples of the characteristic of it includes the ability in manipulating the direction of rain, the swaying of trees, swirling and rustling of leaves, the delicate manner in how curtains sway at the touch of it, and how it is needed for wind chimes to tinkle together.
Through the textures and patterns in her latest series, it translates ‘strength in beauty’ in all its potential.
