Beyond the state of human consciousness lies a blind spot that eludes our perception amidst the pace of urbanity. It is with meditative consideration of what could have been within sight that allows the expansive possibilities of reality to reveal its form. In this undiscovered space where the potential of the imagination manifests, latent desires of memories lost remerges, and the existence of a parallel universe grows into our consciousness, expanding our immediate reality.
The Allure of Multiverses is a collection of works by four Singaporean artists, Ernest Chan, April Ng, Ng Siok Hoon, and David Chan, who consider the urban landscapes they inhabit and the alternate universes that their consciousness had materialised. Through prints, sketches, paintings and installation works, the artists’ presents the multiverses where the contemplative soul finds respite.
