The most famous arias of 20th Century soprano Maria Callas will be performed by award-winning Italian soprano Silvia Cafiero, debuting in Singapore. The show is a tribute to one of the most influential and renowned opera Divas: Maria Callas. The show is narrated by Callas’ butler and confidente Ferruccio (Gerald Chew, award-winning Singaporean actor and director), delivering an intimate portrait of the Diva (played by Silvia Cafiero), her artistic identity and the complexity of her relationship to her family, her lovers, her Art. The singer’s turbulent past is rendered in play-form by Italian playwright Federica Nardacci, and is produced by Bellepoque and the Italian Cultural Institute.
