How do we “know” the city we live in? Is it through our unique experience of city life? Or do cities only come alive through our pictures, memories and representations of them? Expanding on the popular 2016 exhibition InSight: A Monumental 3D Journey, The City’s Double presents more stereoscopic photographs of Singapore’s monuments, back lanes and communities by Alberto Fanelli with sound design by local artist Bani Haykal. Featuring day and night images of Singapore, red and cyan representations, and a foreign and local perspective, The City’s Double offers a double-vision of Singapore inviting us to see the city through a new perspective.
