The Future Possibilities of Fashion Design

Max Tan

Afternoon Discussion with YEUNG CHIN, Hong Kong fashion designer and MAX TAN, Singaporean fashion designer

Good design is built on solid concepts based on our comprehension of the world around us, influenced not only by our present circumstances, but also our collective pasts and possible futures. While our shared cultural heritage is important, it must never be allowed to constrain us, and contemporary designers must set their sights squarely on the future. How are fashion designers pushing the boundaries of our imaginations and creating innovations that drive lifestyle changes and affect our aesthetic perceptions? The afternoon discussion will feature two fashion designers – Yeung Chin and Max Tan.

Venue: Auditorium, Level 2, National Design Centre, 111 Middle Road, Singapore 188969

When: 16 Jan 2016, 2pm - 3.30pm

By: National Design Centre (NDC)
