The LASALLE Collection was established in 1984 with paintings and works on paper donated to the College’s Founder, Brother Joseph McNally, by surgeon, art collector and philanthropist Dr Earl Lu Ming Teh.
Over five weeks, more than 400 three-dimensional items in the collection will be unpacked and reviewed by the ICA Singapore team. The project aims to increase understanding of these works and their value within Southeast Asian art history and material culture. The project will also serve as an opportunity to research practices in cataloguing and art handling and their use to enhance teaching and learning within universities and art schools.
Venue: Praxis Space and Project Space, Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, LASALLE, 1 McNally Street
Hours: Open by request only. Please contact Ramesh Narayanan at ramesh.narayanan@lasalle.edu.sg or telephone +65 6496 5134.
