The Same Side of the Moon Always Faces Earth is a visual representation of the act of crossing a body of water to get to a specific destination. The installation allows the audience to enter from any side, allowing them to move from end to end, with the option of stopping to look at the ‘moon’. The artwork title is based on the fact that the same side of the moon is always facing the earth. For the artist, this also represents the poetic idea of always having a true north, which is crucial when one is lost at sea or in one’s life.
