The Whiteboard Dialogues welcomes a trio of tastemakers/independent retailers to share their views on design in Singapore. Edwin Low (Supermama), Dennis Tay (Naiise) and Irwin Lim (Cumulus / The General Company / The Refinery) have a common passion for and belief in good design.
What is design to them? How do they influence demand for design and design-related products? How do they use social media and content platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest and blogs to define or influence taste in design?
For those who want to bring their design products to market, the panel can give some tips on entering the lively independent design retail scene; offering products with authentic stories; and giving customers in-shop experiences such as workshops, demonstrations and pop-ups.
Participate in a Pinterest-inspired activity with the tastemakers/retailers over tea, to find out how they curate their shops, approach design and build their brands.
