Theatre Memories: 50 Years of Singapore Theatre is an immersive exhibition that lifts the curtain on the actors, directors, playwrights and stage managers who have spent years telling Singapore’s stories on the stage.
Drawing on the personal memories of 50 practitioners who have been significant in the theatrical landscape of Singapore, Theatre Memories invites the public into the spaces in which theatre is created. Wander through a production office, dressing room and rehearsal space while sharing in the personal experiences of familiar faces such as Dick Lee, Ivan Heng, Neo Swee Lin, Lim Kay Siu, Adrian Pang and Siti Khalijah Zainal, and many more.
Funded by the Singapore Memory Project’s irememberSG Fund, the exhibition is co-curated by Jennifer Lim and Annie Jael Kwan, and presented in partnership with The Arts House, with the support of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), School of the Arts (SOTA), W!ld Rice, and in conjunction with the Esplanade Presents The Studios’ Fifty Plays.
