Grand Prize: One photobook will be published with Steidl in Göttingen, Germany.
In conjunction with 1001 Steidl Books exhibition, STEIDL DECK & THEBOOKSHOW presents the Steidl Book Award: Asia Open Call.
In this special collaboration, we invite photographers and artists based in Asia to send in their self-published photo books for a chance to exhibit in this special edition of THEBOOKSHOW, alongside the STEDIL DECK: 1001 Steidl Books exhibition and to meet with Gerhard Steidl himself.
Selected book titles will be exhibited alongside the 1001 Steidl Books exhibition. 5 shortlisted participants will have a one-on-one book review session with Gerhard Steidl. One of the five shortlisted entries will be awarded the Grand Prize and will have their book published by Steidl.
Submissions close on 25 April 2016
Submission Requirements
1. Application form
2. Soft copy of book (in pdf less than 10MB)
3. Artist biography and CV
4. Title of Work and Artist Statement
5. One hard copy of the book
All documents to be compiled into a ZIP file containing either JPG/ PDF files. Please submit all required documents to submit@thebookshow.org and hard copies to DECK during opening hours.
