“To Measure the Depth of the Ocean: Charting Singapore’s Modern Photography History from 1950s to 1980s”
Titled as above or “四海同春:新加坡现代摄影史 (1950s至1980s)”, the showcase narrates the development of modern photography in Singapore from the 1950s to 1980s through the lenses of five eminent photographers, namely Tan Lip Seng, Chua Soo Bin, Foo Tee Jun, Yip Cheong Fun and Loke Hong Seng.
Curated by Kong Yen Lin, it is also part of DECK’s newly introduced “TRACE” series, which will feature a series of thematic exhibitions aimed at exploring areas of scholarship related to photography in Singapore which may have been overlooked or understudied.
