The Singapore cityscape is at a turning point—the icons of pioneering modern architecture may soon be demolished as a result of en bloc redevelopment. This exhibit functions as a three-dimensional position paper that breaks down the complexity of forces at play, which will determine the fate and future of our modernist buildings.
Too Young to Die features photographs by Jeremy San, Philipp Aldrup, and Finbarr Fallon. There will also be screenings of excerpts from the documentary ‘City Lights’ (2006), focusing on Singapore’s architectural history through the eyes of founding architects William S.W. Lim (Golden Mile Complex), Tan Cheng Siong (Pearl Bank Apartments), a reading corner, and more.
