Tranquil Essence is a solo exhibition celebrating nature and calligraphy, by Jaleela Niaz. Central to this collection of work is the harmonious interplay of two distinct yet interconnected worlds: Nature and Calligraphy. It is an exploration of the profound unity between the visible and the spiritual, the tangible and the intangible. Known for her 3D mixed media artworks, her style is defined by the use of bold brush strokes and the incorporation of intricate patterns using metallic hues.
Originally from India, Jaleela has been working and living in Singapore since 2003. This being her fourth solo exhibition, she has exhibited in more than 130 group exhibitions internationally, including Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, Netherlands, Hungary, Nepal, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Sweden, South Korea, Uganda, Indonesia, Ukraine, Spain, Argentina, Turkey, France, Maldives and in 12 cities across India.
