Tropical Lab is an annual camp that brings together postgraduate students from some of the world’s leading art institutions for a two-week period of intense artistic experimentation and research. This exhibition presents works produced by this year’s participants that explore the geopolitics, psychogeography and creative associations of islands. This year’s collaborating institutions include the California Institute of the Arts, The Central Academy of Fine Arts, Columbia University, The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, School of Art, RMIT, Melbourne, Plymouth University and The University of Washington.
