Hiraki Sawa, Souvenir IV, 2012, Single-channel video, silent, black+white, 2’20”
Umeda+Sawa is a duo exhibition featuring works by Japanese artists, Tetsuya Umeda (b.1980) and Hiraki Sawa (b.1977). Umeda’s practice is most recognized for his site-specific installations that entail light, movement and sound while Sawa is well-known for his video works with dream-like scenescapes that play with the often-unexpected textures of memory and artifice.
