Urbanisation addresses Koeh’s Singaporean-themed works. Growing up under colonial rule, Koeh’s art charts Singapore’s post-WWII journey towards independence, and eventually into the 21st century. The exhibition will explore how these artworks capture the uncertainty and instability of early Singapore, grappling with questions of identity and heritage amidst the country’s changing socio-political landscape. This exhibition is curated by Gaia Jong.
