A collection of photographic images by Andy Nethercleft on Phnom Penh’s National Sports Complex, designed by one of the world’s greatest architects Vann Molyvann. Arguably the Cambodian Architect’s masterpiece of his career and an incredible example of New Khmer Architecture from the 1960s.
The exhibition focuses on the unique environmental construction techniques and designs developed by Vann Molyvann and his team of engineers which was on a scale that has never since been repeated in Southeast Asia. The show also highlights the modern pressures placed on the complex by surrounding city development.
