The third edition (2022) of ViaRT Award, a Children’s Recycled Art Competition, is currently hosting an exhibition showcase ongoing until February 27th 2023, held at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery. The overarching theme of ViaRT Award 2022 was “Before Semakau Landfill in 2035”. As some of you may know, our current rate of waste disposal will cause Semakau Landfill, our only landfill, to be completely full by the year 2035. Throughout the phases of the ViaRT Award 2022 competition, young students were asked to think about the importance of waste reduction and the implications of no longer having Semakau Landfill as a viable landfill in the future for Singapore.
ViaRT is thrilled to have received 318 artworks from more than 400 primary and secondary students nationwide. ViaRT Award is proud to recognise the talented submissions from our young and aspiring artists, and to congratulate the winners for their outstanding achievements. ViaRT Award is pleased to now announce the winners.
