We Live in an Ocean of Air

Take a captivating multi-sensory journey through the ecosystem of a vast forest at ArtScience Museum’s latest virtual reality installation. Housed within the Museum’s permanent VR Gallery, We Live in an Ocean of Air unveils the intangible yet symbiotic connections that bind humans and the natural world into one enchanting tapestry of wonder.

Created by leading experiential art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast, We Live in Ocean of Air is a 12-minute-long immersive experience that invites visitors into the heart of a virtual forest through a unique combination of technologies. Blurring the boundaries of installation, live performance and virtual reality, this work provides a pertinent platform to view the challenges our planet faces in the 21st century and to reflect on our responsibility to the organisms we share it with.
