NAIKAN is an art collective brought together by four artists, Shen Jia Qi, Janice Lum, Chen Min Suen and Erman Ashburn. Works from the collective are research studies and artistic practices that investigate the intersection between art and everyday life in Singapore. ‘well : beings’ reflects on relations formed from each artist’s practice around themes of presence and belonging. By examining the individual states of contemplation when recalling memories and experiences, the show investigates the synaesthetic effects of time on our wellbeing and connections.
