Titled Why Biennale At All?, the Singapore Biennale 2016 Symposium takes place on 21 and 22 January. The two-day symposium takes a critical look at the role, relevance and potentialities of the biennale as concept and format, particularly for and from the context of Singapore, in relation to Southeast Asia and Asia.
The symposium features presentations by and conversations with over 30 biennale directors, curators, artists and scholars.
