Wild Cranes is a cross-cultural, cross-medium collaborative – original English poetry translated into Chinese, rendered in traditional Chinese calligraphy, and designed into a unified bilingual visual poetic experience contemplating the luminous universal magic of fate, longing, destiny, and chance.
Like the birds they are named after, this collection that reminds us of our shared humanity, traversed half the planet, from originals by Washington, DC-based writer Nirmal Ghosh, to New York-based Chinese-born writer and translator Liuyu Ivy Chen, to gifted Dalian-based calligrapher Zhao Xu, to New York based artist, photographer and global soul Tanya Ghosh.
