In this exhibition, Zaki Razak, artist and Lecturer in Visual Studies at LASALLE, reflects on possibilities for integrating art within teaching and family life. What is an ideal household? What would a family-centric art practice and exhibition look like?
Zaki Razak explores these questions through a public programme of events and workshops organised with collaborators who have been integral to his practice over the past decade. These include curator Khairuddin Hori, theatre maker Gene Sha Rudyn, and his brother Razi Razak. For the exhibition, Zaki will turn the gallery into a notional home divided into three areas: a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom in which visitors will be invited to rest.
