Singapore based online gallery Chryse Fine Art launches an “Exhibition of Early & Modern Singapore Paintings” on Saturday, 9 April at ION Art Gallery. The exhibition runs from 9 – 17 April 2016 daily from 10am – 10pm.

The exhibition presents rare artworks by First and Second Generation Singapore artists. The works on display include paintings by Cheong Soo Pieng, Chen Wen Hsi, Lim Cheng Hoe, Lee Hock Moh, Choo Keng Kwang, Seah Kim Joo, Teng Nee Cheong, Tay Chee Toh, Tan Choh Tee and Lim Tze Peng. There will also be a selection of contemporary Southeast Asian paintings from Singapore (Hong Sek Chern, Anthony Chua, Ler Hock Chuan, Tay Shuh Fung and Bai Tianyuan); Malaysia (Hoe Say Yong); Myanmar (Aung Myint, Win Pe, Min Wae Aung and Aung Ko) and Vietnam (Nguyen Trung, Ha Manh Thang and Bui Cong Khanh). Through a potpourri of colours, subjects and mediums, it showcases the region’s rich cultures and diversity.
