Family Fridays at ArtScience Museum

Fridays will never be the same again! ArtScience Museum is now offering more reasons to visit the museum every Friday with a brand-new programme that offers kid-friendly programming content and complimentary access for families with children.

From 23 January, ArtScience Museum kicks off Family Fridays, designed for families to relax, learn and have fun together at the museum. Parents and their children will be able to take part  in a series child-friendly activities and programmes specially developed for the exhibitions that are showing at ArtScience Museum. Complimentary supplementary activity booklets and discovery sheets will be provided to enhance the child’s learning experience.

Through this new programme, ArtScience Museum hopes to promote greater quality family bonding time as both parents and children will embark on an exploratory learning process together.

Family Fridays’ offerings include:

  • Exhibition promotional ticket offers to all families every Friday, starting 23 January 2015
    Buy one adult standard ticket and children go FREE!
    (Capped at a maximum of two children per one standard price adult ticket purchased. Children must be 12 or younger).


  • Complimentary Printed Resources
    Family Friday ticket-holders to the relevant exhibitions will receive:

    • Complimentary ‘20 Fascinating Facts’ guide
    • Take-away activity booklet featuring key highlights of the Da Vinci: Shaping the Future exhibition
    • Discovery sheets focusing on specific artworks and a colourful ‘Treasure of Singapore Eye’ printed resource for Prudential Singapore Eye exhibition

    Da Vinci: Shaping the Future

    (Complimentary for Da Vinci: Shaping the Future ticket holders and their children)

    Families can embark on a journey to unveil the secrets of da Vinci at Da Vinci: Shaping the Future. Designed to suit all ages and learning styles, the interactive exhibits provides an environment for families to learn through play and experience the multi-layered world of history’s most renowned artist and scientist.  The exhibition also includes engaging touch-screens platforms allowing in-depth exploration of da Vinci’s notebooks, the Codex Atlanticus, and screen-based games which educates players on the theme of each gallery.

    The learning journey never ends at the exhibition as budding Leonardos can participate in the interactive Da Vinci Challenge workshop every Friday, 4.30pm. Conducted by the museum’s docents, the workshop will see young visitors experimenting with flight, bridges, and leaf-printing making activities to further explore the mastery of da Vinci. Young visitors can develop their thinking skills by creating their own parachute shapes and 3D puzzles at the adjacent Inspired by Da Vinci activity space.

    Prudential Singapore Eye

    Visitors can view the best of Singapore’s contemporary art through this landmark exhibition of 17 selected artists, with interactive surprises for the entire family along the way.
