The dates for the first edition of ART SG, the Singapore based international art fair, will now take place from 30 October – 1 November, 2020 (Preview 29 October) at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Organised by Tim Etchells, Angus Montgomery Arts and ARTHQ Events, co-Founder Magnus Renfrew and ART SG Fair Director Shuyin Yang will continue to liaise with galleries in the lead up to October 2020 to ensure the strongest possible fair programme and exhibitor list for the new fair in Singapore.
The decision to move the dates to give a longer lead time was taken by fair organisers in response to requests from galleries and key participants for ART SG to have more time to prepare and participate in the first edition of the fair.
Co-Founder Magnus Renfrew said: “We are actively recruiting applications and are receiving considerable interest.”
ART SG is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the National Arts Council (NAC) and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).
While ART SG has been resceduled to fall 2020, the new dates for the second edition of S.E.A. Focus have already been announced. It will take place at Gillman Barracks from 16 to 19 January 2020.
