
As part of the festivities in the month of October, ArtScience Museum offers complimentary access to its exhibitions and workshops on 22 October. Visitors can visit the photography exhibition Flux Realities: A Showcase of Chinese Contemporary Photography and participate in a number of programmes for free on Deepavali.
Flux Realities: A Showcase of Chinese Contemporary Photography is a specially curated exhibition bringing together the works of seven Chinese contemporary artists – Wang Qing Song, Yang Yongliang, Wei Bi, Zhang Dali, Liu Xiaofang, Maleonn (Ma Liang) and Wang Ningde. Comprising over 60 photographs, the exhibition highlights each artist’s individualistic artistic approach and personal experience of China’s modernisation process. The exhibition will end on 2 November 2014.
Visitors can also participate in a series of free public programmes on 22 October:
- Mandarin guided tour: Flux Realities: A Showcase of Chinese Contemporary Photography
22 October: 2pm – 2:30pm, 4pm – 4:30pm
Let the museum docents bring you through the exhibition in a 30-min tour to discuss themes of memory and history, as depicted in a striking collection of 60 works by some of the most important practitioners of the photographic medium in China.
*The guided tours can accommodate up to 25 people, on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required 15 minutes prior to the tours.

22 October: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Transform your photographic skills through the ultimate ‘how to’ workshop which explored three key techniques to create that perfectly composed photograph. Includes a print-out of your work to take home.
