Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris opens its doors on 30 May 2015. Founded by art historian and creator, Marc Restellini, it is housed in the rejuvenated 5,500 m2 Fort Canning Arts Centre, and will curate three main exhibition spaces: The Collections, including 40 to 50 masterpieces, which will make up the museum’s permanent collection. Sourced mainly from private collections, The Collections will include works by Amedeo Modigliani, Rembrandt van Rijn, Oscar-Claude Monet, Jackson Pollock and Chaim Soutine. The Features will occupy the largest exhibition space in the museum. Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris’s inaugural feature exhibition, “The Myth of Cleopatra” will be held from 30 May to 11 October 2015. The Heritage Gallery pays homage to Singapore’s legacy as the confluence of diverse cultures and civilization throughout centuries.
Adult tickets range from S$11 to S$28. The museum is open from Sunday to Thursday: 10:00am – 7:30pm, and Friday to Saturday: 10:00am – 8:30pm.
