Following its successful transition into a global brand since its last fair in Sweden (2018), the Tatinis Art Show returns to its inceptive grounds in Singapore this year under the theme Hope. Peace. Love at the F1 Pit Building’s Paddock Club 6 from the 23rd to the 26th of May. In tandem with its mission to bring affordable art to every home, the upcoming art fair promises a constellation of over 500 local and international artworks from galleries and by individual artists, including 9 Swedish artists and 10 Finnish ones. Priced between SGD$100 and SGD$6000, the exhibition allows for equitable opportunities towards the purchase of artworks by art novices, seasoned collectors, and the general public to experience art at an approachable level.
Riding on the positive receptivity in its previous runs, the Tatinis Art Show has assimilated a staple of supporting activities that heighten the eclectic experiences for exhibitors and patrons alike. The Fashion Meets Art segment slated for the second day (24th May) will feature a fashion show by Singapore Fashion Runway and their initiative of “Fashion for a Social Cause”. The show focuses on social inclusion by encouraging special needs kids to be part of their runway presentation of wearable art, whereby paintings and other art forms are printed onto clothes and accessories as a fashion statement that redefines artistic disciplines.
The third day (25th May) brims with two complimentary activities catered for the kids. Through the Kids Art Party segment, children are able to partake in painting and theatre workshops conducted by vendors Little Artists Art Studio and local theatre company WeCanDoit.
With Founder and CEO of Tatinis Ruby Gupte’s intention to remove the social stratification of art appreciation, Tatinis Art Show 2019: Hope. Peace. Love serves as a revolutionary classroom for the masses to learn about and understand the art ecosystem at close quarters through interactions with the artists, curators, journalists, and organizers.
